Support Me

“Children shouldn’t have to worry about how they look, especially when they’re in the middle of a health crisis,”

I have been growing my hair out since October 2014, and I have decided that it's time to part ways with my waves. I love my long hair, but I know that I can bring a little joy to a child who has been though too much. This evening, I will be going to Pulse Salon in Portland to chop off 12" to donate.

I have donated my hair to other donation programs in the past, but I chose to donate my hair to Wigs for Kids this time. I love that they never charge the family for hairpieces. They rely on the donations from people like us to make it possible for them to offer hairpieces to children at no charge. This brings me to why I have decided to do a fundraiser for Wigs for Kids in addition to my hair donation. It costs $1800 to make a wig for a child in need. I'm not sure if I could raise enough to cover the full amount, but I'd love to have your help to contribute as much as possible.

I know that not everyone has an extra foot of hair that they can give, but you can join me in supporting this cause with a donation. I appreciate any contribution you can make, every little bit counts.  Help me make life a little better for someone who has gone through more in his/her early life than we could imagine.
