Jenessa gives the gift of hair as she turns 10

Hi!  My name is Jenessa.  My hair grows really fast.  Since it was getting very long,  I decided to cut my hair and donate it to Wigs for Kids, so that they can use it to make a wig for someone else that needs hair.

My campaign is named Jen1010 because I cut my hair on October 10th and I also turned double digits earlier this month!   It takes $1800 dollars and 20 - 30 hair donations to make one wig.  I was hoping to raise $1010, which is a little more than half the cost of making a wig.  As of October 22nd, my family, their-coworkers, and my friends families helped me go beyond my fundraising goal.   My Dad's company, Veriato, also made a big donation.  Thanks to everyone that donated!

This is actually my second time donating hair to Wigs for Kids and fundraising for them.   I decided to do it again because it makes me feel good that my hair is going to a good cause.   Maybe I'll do it a again in a few years.   - Jenessa
