Help Jadyn reach her fundraising goal...

• From a very young age, our amazing daughter Jadyn has always been interested in "tzedakah" which is the Hebrew word for charitable acts such as giving aid, assistance and money to the poor and needy or to other worthy causes.  In Judaism this is an obligation, and Jadyn was truly born with this spirit inside her.

• Over 2 years ago, she made her own decision that she wanted to do something unique and very personal for charity.  After thinking about it for a while (and a few helpful suggestions from Mom), she decided to donate her beautiful blond curly hair to other children who need it.

• The Charity is Wigs for Kids.  For over 30 years, Wigs for Kids has been providing Hair Replacement Systems and support for children who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy, radiation therapy, Alopecia, Trichotillomania, burns and other medical issues at no cost to children or their families.

• After more than 2 years of growing out her hair, Jadyn had a haircut on 20 July and has sent off her hair to Wigs for Kids.  You can see photos from the day here: ALBUM

• It takes an average of 6 hair donations that are greater than 12 inches and approximately $1800 to create one hairpiece in the U.S.  

• We couldn't be more proud of our daughter and hope you will join us in raising money for this amazing organization!  Every little bit counts.
